Two Ecosystems. One Team That Connects Them.

Sabil Health exists because two worlds that should be connected aren't. European healthcare produces world-class science. Gulf capital is actively seeking diversification into real assets and innovation. But without trust, qualification, and local knowledge on both sides, nothing happens. That's why we built this.

The Team

Deep expertise on both sides of the bridge.

Mohamed Chekoua

Mohamed Chekoua

Co-Founder — Technical & Sectoral Lead

European Healthcare Ecosystem

Mohamed holds a Doctor of Pharmacy degree and a Master's from Sciences Po Paris. He began his career as a management consulting associate in London, working on data analytics and strategy for top-5 medtech and pharmaceutical companies at Quomeda.

He then joined the French Ministry of Health, where he worked in the cabinets of two successive Ministers of Health — first as an intern with the Advisor on Healthcare Pathways, then as a permanent staff member in the Minister's Office of Health and Prevention under Minister Rousseau. His work included steering an interministerial mission to reduce administrative burden on physicians, writing technical notes for the Minister, and leading a national cardiovascular screening operation in partnership with the 'Act for Women's Hearts' foundation.

He is currently Chief of Staff to the President of France Biotech — the national association representing over 700 healthcare startups and life sciences companies in France — working at the crossroads of biotech, medtech, and digital health.

In parallel, Mohamed founded Pharm6, the most-followed pharmaceutical news outlet in France on Instagram (@pharm6.media) and a free daily newsletter sent to over 3,500 readers with a 63% open rate.

At Sabil Health, Mohamed leads all technical and sectoral qualification: therapeutic area, clinical stage, regulatory pathway, competitive positioning, and IP strength.

Gulf Capital & Institutional Investment

Jamil has over 25 years of experience in global capital markets across Paris, London, Dubai, and Riyadh. He began his career as a Global Portfolio Manager for Debt & Rates at Société Générale Asset Management, before joining BNP Paribas as a European High-Yield TMT Trader.

He then moved to Standard Chartered Bank as Head of Credit Trading for the Middle East, Africa, and Pakistan, before joining Deutsche Bank where he spent over seven years as Head of MENA & Africa Emerging Markets Trading, managing the business through the Arab Spring, the Dubai crisis, and multiple sovereign and corporate restructurings.

After a period at Credit Suisse in Emerging Markets trading, he joined Riyad Bank as SVP Head of Investments, overseeing the bank's investment portfolio from Riyadh.

Since July 2021, Jamil has served as Chief Investment Officer of Othaim Holding Company in Riyadh, where he oversees the group's international investments across public and private markets.

At Sabil Health, Jamil leads all financial and structural qualification: valuation, deal terms, fund structure, governance, financial readiness, and mandate compatibility.

Why This Team

Dual qualification is what makes Sabil Health work.

Most platforms in cross-border investing fail because they understand only one side. They either know the startups but not the capital, or they know the investors but not the science.

Sabil Health is different. Mohamed brings the European healthcare network, the technical knowledge, and the credibility to qualify startups and funds. Jamil brings the Gulf capital network, the institutional understanding, and the trust to qualify allocators.

Together, they create a dual-qualification system that protects both sides and ensures that every match is built on substance, not speculation.
